ADD/ADHD
I know this has been said by many people already. But dead horses sometimes need more beating. ADD/ADHD is the biggest load of shit. So just because your kid wants to be wild and doesn’t want to concentrate on homework, you should drug him into submission? Discipline comes in the form of beatings and abuse, not drugs. Drugs are for pussies.

I guess what pisses me off about this the most is how people think that it is not enough that different people have more or less difficulty concentrating than others. Oh no, the fact that some people are more attentive and seem more apt to behave can’t possibly have anything to do with factors such as natural differences among people and differences in parenting and self discipline. No. If you find it difficult to study for a test, it is a condition, it is a disease, it is something to be diagnosed with, you need medication.

For example, somebody I know(I won’t say his name, but he knows who he is, and everybody else knows who he is, so I might as well just say his name, but I still won’t) used ADD as a cop-out to having to take a foreign language in college. What a sham. I bet if you were studying a language (let’s say French, the language of losers) and you had a French test coming up, and I promised you a totally righteous pirate babe bearing rum and a bowl of tots, ready to fulfill all your desires for a night if you could score 90% or better on the test, you would find a way, ADD or no ADD.

Shit, Man, do you think I had an easy time concentrating while studying Japanese? Here’s how my train of thought usually plays out when I am studying:

“Ok, this sentence should go like….

Anata wa kirena ona da. Watashi to isshoni nemasenka?…..

Is the isshoni part necessary in this sentence……

Rambo jumped out f a tree and killed a pig with a spear and then ate it…..that’s pretty sweet….

I was not aware that there were wild pigs in the Pacific Northwest….I wonder if there are…

Chris is from there, maybe he knows….Oh wait he is from Dakota, I forget which one…

Ha, ha, he has Dakota eyes….I wonder if he is going to be at Mitch’s tonight……I should call him….I need to call Matt too…..

Fuck I don’t want to study for this test tomorrow…”

And so on, you get the idea. My point is that just because you find it difficult to be 100% focused while studying, doesn’t mean that you have some disorder that requires drugs or special treatment. If ADD was a person, I’d punch him right in the nuts. And if it was a woman and had no nuts for me to punch, I’d call her a cunt right to her face and than slap her like a bitch. Fucking ADD. Shit, see how I can get so worked up over such a stupid thing? Now I’m ranting. I’ve already put too much text on this page, so I will stop it right…………..here!
